Episode 244: Troy (Sonic Sledgehammer Studio YouTube Channel)

This week I speak to Troy who runs the awesome Sonic Sledgehammer Studio Youtube channel. Troy is a first timer here on PATM so we do the deep dive into his backstory and spend some time pecking in parts that jumped out during the chat. I deeply enjoy Troy’s work on his channel, I think what he tries to achieve is fantastic along with his attitude, mentality, and outlook towards our hobby. He is a great personality and the hobby is richer because of people like him being in it.

Episode 241: Will Rahman-Daultrey (Forbidden Psalm/The Last War et al)

This week, I speak to Will Rahman-daultrey the writer of Forbidden Psalm and The Last War, amongst other things. Wont spoil any of the natural chat that occurs, but what I will say is that the richness of Will’s own life, his perspective, his experiences, and his mentality has leaked all over his rule sets! From my view, anyway. I think he has written games that, when you listen to his ethos and spirit really echo the essence of life in some ways.

Episode 235: Mike Tunez (Firelock Games)

This week I talk once again to the amazing Mike Tunez of Firelock Games. Firelock develops awesomeness. Their games are fun and engaging, from their settings to their mechanics, and all their interactions with us. I find them amazing. One of the biggest reasons why I love this hobby is that where in other hobbies you wouldn’t dream of or have access to the big cheese at the top. For example, you wouldn’t dream of just contacting the guy who made Ping, the golfing company, but in this hobby, people like Mike actively seek interactions with us, it’s pretty special.

Episode 234: Count Vampz (How Much Does Stuff Cost?)

This week I talk to Vampz, and we talk about how much different things cost. You may remember the ‘sustainable gaming’ chats we had around episode 150, a group of 3 episodes on the subject. I wanted to revisit the idea and when I was doing my research I checked out a video by Count Vampz Painting and Wargaming where he had plotted out the off-the-shelf price of getting involved in various tabletop wargames and their comparative costs.

Episode 198: Pete The Wargamer (Youtuber)

This episode I have a second chat with Pete The Wargamer. Pete is probably my favorite YouTube video content producer, I just love his style, his method, and his content in general. Plus he is a fun and interesting guy to boot. We talked back in ep 31 so if you want a bit more of an introduction to him and his channel then you can go and listen to that first. In this episode we delve a bit deeper into his craft, his evolution, and peripheral bonuses that have come his way, plus also a chin wag about a great many other things.

Episode 169: Jens (Tabletop Generals Youtube Channel)

This episode I speak to Jens of Tabletop Generals. Tabletop Generals is a YouTube channel which is charting the course of World War 2 from very beginning to very end via bat reps and hobby content. It was a pleasure speaking to Jens and I had fun reliving my silly German sayings, along with some very deep conversation about the Waffen SS from his German point of view. I need to mention it here in the intro and I dont want it to potentially offend anyone, so if you dont want to hear about our opinions on man’s potential to do not very nice things to others then this might be a show to miss. It is my opinion that anyone is capable of doing anything, either amazing or terrible, depending on the circumstances and situation. I am not condoning war crime, or any crime of any sort, or celebrating it, I dont even think anything we talk about is controversial in anyway, but I just thought I’d mention it here. It is my own and Jen’s unqualified opinions on it at this point in time…Whew! I made that seem a lot more serious than what it is, but there you go.
