In this show, we talk about his YouTube channel, we talk about how he loves it when people call him Randy, his love of Moonstone, and much, much more!
Read MoreThis week I talk once again to the amazing Mike Tunez of Firelock Games. Firelock develops awesomeness. Their games are fun and engaging, from their settings to their mechanics, and all their interactions with us. I find them amazing. One of the biggest reasons why I love this hobby is that where in other hobbies you wouldn’t dream of or have access to the big cheese at the top. For example, you wouldn’t dream of just contacting the guy who made Ping, the golfing company, but in this hobby, people like Mike actively seek interactions with us, it’s pretty special.
Read MoreThis week I talk to Vampz, and we talk about how much different things cost. You may remember the ‘sustainable gaming’ chats we had around episode 150, a group of 3 episodes on the subject. I wanted to revisit the idea and when I was doing my research I checked out a video by Count Vampz Painting and Wargaming where he had plotted out the off-the-shelf price of getting involved in various tabletop wargames and their comparative costs.
Read MoreThis week I talk to Tim Prow of Diehard Miniatures. Diehard creates old hammer inspired miniatures for us to enjoy. They used traditional sculpting methods and offer unique, interesting, and often quirky sculpts for us to use in the games we play. The minis ooze character, so take a look at them if you enjoy that style and ethos.

Plus he is a fun and interesting guy to boot. We talked back in ep 31 so if you want a bit more of an introduction to him and his channel then you can go and listen to that first. In this episode we delve a bit deeper into his craft, his evolution, and peripheral bonuses that have come his way, plus also a chin wag about a great many other things.

Read MoreThis episode I speak to Jens of Tabletop Generals. Tabletop Generals is a YouTube channel which is charting the course of World War 2 from very beginning to very end via bat reps and hobby content. It was a pleasure speaking to Jens and I had fun reliving my silly German sayings, along with some very deep conversation about the Waffen SS from his German point of view. I need to mention it here in the intro and I dont want it to potentially offend anyone, so if you dont want to hear about our opinions on man’s potential to do not very nice things to others then this might be a show to miss. It is my opinion that anyone is capable of doing anything, either amazing or terrible, depending on the circumstances and situation. I am not condoning war crime, or any crime of any sort, or celebrating it, I dont even think anything we talk about is controversial in anyway, but I just thought I’d mention it here. It is my own and Jen’s unqualified opinions on it at this point in time…Whew! I made that seem a lot more serious than what it is, but there you go.
Read MoreThis episode I speak to Mr Restless Kaiser of Modelling for Advantage. Modeling for Advantage is a Youtube Channel putting together battle reports for various games along with other content for our viewing pleasure from a number of different people. Read MoreThis episode I speak to Mat Hart the co founder of Steam Forged Games, we were very humbled when Steamforged decided to attend the recent PATMOCON event, our online convention and that was my first experience of talking to anyone from there. Read MoreThis episode I speak to Mr Paul Hicks an outstanding sculptor of miniatures. We have a general chat about him and what he has been up to since we last spoke on episode 90, and also both the previous and upcoming Baron’s War kickstarter campaigns he is working on with Andy Hobday of Footsore Miniatures. I always enjoy talking to Paul, traditional sculpting seems to be going by the wayside in favor of Z brush and electronic sculpting but I for one would hate the art and the discipline to die out, it was a shame Salute was cancelled this year as Paul was going to be there with PATM doing a number of sculpt along classes, next year we hope it will become a reality.
